Children's ARK Departments
Childrens ARK consists of several separate departments. These departments are all very important on their own, but also must work together efficiently to accomplish all the needs of the residents and the organization.
Residential Department
The Residential Department includes three sites where residents live on-site: The Ute Pass (boys) facility, the Green Mountain Falls (girls) facility, and the Pueblo (boys emancipation and transition) facility. All three sites have a Site Director, an Assistant Site Director, Supervisors and Residential Counselors. They are responsible for the daily care and supervision of the children in our care.
Education Department
The Educational Department is a full certified schooling program consisting of an Educational Coordinator, Assistant Educational Coordinator, Administrative Assistant, Teachers, Supervisors, Teachers Assistant, and Behavior Coach. There are six major academic groups: Math, Science, Health and PE, History, Language Arts, and Transition. There are also numerous support staff positions within the school.
Clinical Department
The Clinical department is responsible for all the therapeutic needs of the residents. The department consists of Clinical Supervisor, Clinical Therapists and Case Managers. The Clinical Supervisor supports the Clinical Therapist with their case load and the overall function of the department. The Clinical Therapist provides treatment for the residents through their duration including individual therapy, group therapy and family therapy. The Case Managers are the communication link between the external and internal professionals. In addition to these positions we have a full time Nurse who assists any minor medical needs as well as a Physician and Psychiatrist who come once a week.
Corporate Department
The Corporate Department consists of the Founders, CEO, Deputy Director, Executive Assistant to the CEO, Director of Operations, Director of Admissions, Director of Development, Director of Financial Services, a Chaplin, and Human Resource Generalist. These positions support the overall function and day to day needs of the company as well as outreach and the development of new programs.
Admissions Department
The admission process is the first step for potential clients in which we obtain all pertinent information needed to consider a child for one of our facilities. During this interview the team meets with family members, case workers and other professionals to determine how the program can facilitate positive outcomes for the resident and family. We realize that it takes the interaction of both the family and others to make each child successful. The Admissions Department strives to make sure that each person on the team is heard and that continuous communication takes place. Our goal is to make sure that the young person leaves our facilities well cared-for and equipped to handle the situations and challenges they may face in the future. The Admissions Department can be reached at (719) 964-8876.
Human Resources Department
The Human Resource Generalist provides employment support to all departments and conducts recruitment for vacant positions within the company. The generalist provides administrative support to departments by assisting in the termination of employees. The HR Generalist maintains the Children’s ARK policies and procedures and ensures that these policies are followed throughout the company.
All departments are infused to insure the kids get the most out of their time at Children’s ARK.
